Quiet Interrupted

Title: Quiet Interrupted
Rating: G
Author: SoLeo
Word Count: 100
Challenge: snarry100 #393: Weekend Plans
Warnings: *Mpreg*
Disclaimer: You know I don't own them.
Summary: The weekends are about to get a lot more exciting in the Snape-Potter house.
AN: I never thought I would enjoy Mpreg stories, but magic lets you get away with a lot.

“Remember we’re watching Rose Saturday night. It’s Ron and Hermione’s anniversary.”

Severus hmmm’d in acknowledgment, still huddled under the blankets, as Harry got ready for the day.

“Also I thought we could use the practice.”

Severus peeked his head out, still groggy before his coffee. “Practice, whatever for? Are we opening a child care?”

“Don’t be silly love.” Harry approached and grabbed Severus’ hand and placed it in his still flat tummy. “Because we need the practice, of course.”

Severus became alert as realization dawned. He was too excited to do anything but rain kisses down on his husband’s face.

Oh... that's a lovely way to drop that particular bomb on poor Sev, Harry! Catch the man when he's still half-asleep and in need of an entire bucket full of caffeine! ;)

I'm thrilled that Severus reacted this well to Harry's news. They'll definitely need all the practice they can get, that's for sure. This was really loving in that sort of gentle and contented way that's so typical of firmly established and happy couples. Lovely, lovely, scene. Well done, soLeo.

Um-m-m I'm glad that that turned out happily. There are some things you don't want to tell a sleepy person. then again, this might have been the best time, his guard would be down and he might process it slow enough to not be too shocked to react.

I think it is because we are all thinking of how Severus could react if he wasn't thinking clearly. You do not want the person you are telling not to be thinking right at that moment, because you want them to understand what you are saying.
So all in all, it isn't a bad way to do it, and honestly, it has probably been used before, but... it is not one I personally would chose. The reaction might not be as joyous as I would want. And there is the stress factor that kicks in... so the weekend might actually be worse because of it... but none of that actually plays into this, as it is Your Severus and Your Harry and they do as you tell them. Sorry if my review detracted from your enjoyment of your own work. It was really good, even though I am not a fan of mpreg- to much reality for me to truly accept it well- it was written in a happy light manner that made it easy to read and enjoy. You also had Severus and Harry have a happy ending. That is all that is required.

Now, I will stop babbling.

Oh, that was cute:-) Nice story. And yes, I think that I can enjoy m-preg in HP stories too:) But I don´t think I can imagine Snape in Harry´s skin... In my mind only Harry (and maybe Draco) can have a baby... Thank you!
