AN: I wanna read a really good Severus pursues Harry fic, but I didn’t want to go looking for one…

Snape had requested this meeting, but had yet to say a word. Harry waited, the tea going cold. It had to be serious, in their admittedly short friendship the man always knew what to say.

“What did you want to talk about?”

“I thought it best that I do this face to face.”

Harry nodded and sipped his tea, hoping Severus would continue.

“If you are amicable, I would like you to attend this years’ Yule Ball with me, as a date.”

He could tell the man was sincere, so Harry could only answer in kind. “I would like that.”

OH! Gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous, soleo. I love Severus' initial awkwardness and Harry's patience here.

I also love how calmly Harry took Severus' invitation and how brave Sev was to actually go through with his plan and issue it in the first place. I sincerely hope this isn't a one off, my friend. You could have the beginning of a remarkably lovely story right here! :)

Are you planning on joining the adventdrabbles btw? I've already missed the first three prompts because of my Thanksgiving travels, but I'm ready to jump into the fray and it will be lovely to see you over there, too.

You know I love your reviews. This really is the start of something. I just haven't gotten the chance to work on any more. I wanted a Severus peruses Harry theme because I usually do the opposite. Harry is such a force to be reckoned with.
